Poland has launched flights to New York near the border with Ukraine.

On March 27, the Polish airline LOT began a direct flight to New York from Rzeszów Airport, located near Ukraine’s border.

The route will be serviced by a Boeing 787-8 with a passenger capacity of up to 252 people. LOT will fly from Rzeszów to New York once a week every Monday and from New York to Rzeszów every Sunday. Travel time will be 10 hours traveling to America and 8 hours and 50 minutes traveling to Poland. Tickets from Rzeszów to NYC cost $980 roundtrip, including hand luggage only.

Rzeszów Airport is located 85 km from the border with Ukraine near the Krakow checkpoint.
