Ukraine has accumulated almost 14 billion cubic meters of gas for the heating season.

Of the total amount, the state company Naftogaz purchased more than 200 million cubic meters of fuel from private gas production companies. The company reported that as of October 3, gas reserves in storage facilities amount to 13.9 billion cubic meters. It is also noted that since the beginning of the year, Naftogaz has increased gas production in the western regions of Ukraine by 2% compared to last year’s figures. The company also plans to continue developing the potential of deposits in western Ukraine and is already resuming its operations in the east that were stopped or destroyed due to the war. Next year, Naftogaz plans to increase gas exploration and production investments by 15%.
