Azot, the largest chemical enterprise in Ukraine located in Severodonetsk, the Luhansk region, cannot continue production, despite the false statements from the Russian occupiers who temporarily hold control of the area. An attempt to start production in violation of basic safety rules can lead to casualties and potential disaster for the entire region. Furthermore, large-scale destruction at the plant is incompatible with its safe operation, stated Group DF, Azot’s parent company, on Thursday. Group DF said that the Ostchem holding, which unites Group DF’s nitrogen chemistry enterprises, has currently lost control over Severodonetsk Nitrogen, and all false statements about the rapid launch of the plant are Russian propaganda.
