The new wave of infected people in Ukraine is at the highest level yet with 20,000-24,000 people new cases reported each day. According to the Ukraine Ministry of Health, 98% of hospitalized people are not vaccinated. Ukrainians are still reluctant to get vaccinated. The mortality from Covid-19 in Ukraine has already peaked and currently averages at 485 deaths per day. If Ukraine can vaccinate 70% of the population by the end of this year, it can avoid the number of lockdowns that are unavoidable and have a negative outcome for both citizens and the economy.
