Verkhovna Rada recalled Dmytro Razumkov from the position of Chairman

of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada. The contender to replace Razumkov is Ruslan Stefanchuk, and Oleksandr Kornienko, chairman of the Servant of the People party, is running for the position of the first vice-speaker. Relations between Zelenskyy and Razumkov have been strained recently, over a bill aimed to restrict the power of oligarchs that the President has promoted, and the speaker opposed. Earlier this month, Zelenskyy accused Razumkov of pursuing a political agenda of his own. Zelenskyy’s party has retained a strong control of the parliament and Razumkov’s political maneuvering has backfired against him.
