Ukraine and Egypt bilateral cooperation.

Vladimir Zelensky spoke with President of Egypt and reaffirmed his readiness to develop bilateral relations and increase the supply of domestic products to the market of the Republic of Egypt. For his part, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed that his country is interested in expanding relations with Ukraine in all areas, including the creation of a hub for Ukrainian companies and their participation in Egyptian industrial zones. In order to intensify bilateral cooperation, the heads of state agreed to hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between Ukraine and the EEA in the near future, as well as talks at the level of foreign ministers reported president.gov.ua. The opening of Egypt to Ukraine beyond tourism in the Red Sea peninsula is an indication of the nation’s renewed approach to trade and international investment. The recent announcement of Siemens winning a €4.5-billion contract to upgrade transport infrastructure in Egypt is an indication that Egypt is open for business.
