The construction of the “Japanese” bridge across the Southern Buh is planned to begin in December 2021.

The bridge construction will take eight years to complete, and the preliminary cost is estimated to be $700 million. The proposed bridge was first raised by the Japanese ambassador to Ukraine who visited Nikolaev in 2013 (The Odessa Journal).
