From today through to August 20, Kyiv’s Funicular is closed for annual maintenance,

reported Kyivpastrans, the city public transport company. During the summer, ridership falls to 2,000 a day, half normal levels. Built in 1905, the Funicular connects the lower city – Podil – with the upper city – St. Michael’s Square.
