1,000 tanks and 400 HIMARS: How Ukraine’s partners help to win the war.

In Davos, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis called on the allies to provide Ukraine with everything it needs to defeat the Russian Federation. He emphasized that if the West wants to defeat Putin, then Ukraine needs not 40 HIMARS systems but 400, not 80 tanks, but 1,000.

Meanwhile, the new Polish government is looking for ways to increase the production of ammunition and military equipment for a new aid package to Ukraine, Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski said in Davos. The cost of containing Putin after he conquers Ukraine will be much greater than the cost of securing Ukraine now, he said.

However, Bulgaria has not yet sent the 100 armored personnel carriers it promised to the Ukrainian military, which were to have been delivered at the end last year. The country’s minister of defense explained that logistics issues have already been resolved, but Bulgaria is counting on help from another partner country regarding financing.

At the same time, the Parliament of Slovakia has supported an amendment that would allow the Ministry of Defense to approve arms exports, allowing state and private companies to continue arming Ukraine.
