After interviewing investors, Sifted published a rating of the 11 most promising quantum computing startups, including the Ukrainian startup, Haiqu.
In 2023, European quantum start-ups received $781M in investments. This made Europe the only region where funding for quantum startups increased.
Previously, in the summer of 2023, Haiqu attracted $4M in investment during a pre-seed round from the American fund SOMA Capital, Ukrainian u.ventures, and others.
In addition to Haiqu, the most promising quantum startup rankings also includes entries from Spain, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Finland.
Haiqu was founded in early 2023 by Mykola Maksymenko, former vice president of R&D at Ukrainian IT company SoftServe, and Richard Givan, who previously worked at Mitsubishi Electric. Haiqu is developing software technologies that will help maximize the potential of quantum computer hardware.
