The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the creation of another industrial park, which will be in the Kyiv region. With the approval, 100 industrial parks will be operating in Ukraine. The new Myronivka site will create 1,500 new jobs and attract over ₴1B ($24M) in investment. The area of the industrial park is 30.36 hectares. The industrial facility’s key areas of activity will include the production of metal structures and products, the manufacturing of machinery and equipment, food products, and alternative energy.
As well, the government is submitting a bill to the Verkhovna Rada introducing the concept of an “eco-industrial park.” According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, this will be an innovative industrial site format in which businesses will use alternative energy sources, rationally approach waste management, and optimize the use of water resources. For its part, the state will provide support in the form of tax breaks and financing for the construction of engineering and transport infrastructure.
