Україна в рамках переговорів про вступ до ЄС почала консультації про інтеграцію економіки.

In April 2024, Ukraine’s GDP growth compared to April last year was about 4.3%. For January-April, the economic department noted that the growth is estimated at the level of 4.4% compared to the corresponding period last year.

Economy Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko noted that the economy generally continues to adapt and acquire the characteristics of the wartime economy. At the same time, high-security risks, damage to energy facilities, and a significant shortage of qualified personnel continued to exert negative pressure on Ukraine’s GDP.

In April, economic growth was supported by record exports of goods, increased demand for construction services, improved business sentiment, and the revival of consumer activity. Positive trends were observed in the transport sector, industry, construction, agriculture, and domestic trade. Industrial enterprises continued to restore their economic activity.

At the same time, after repeated attacks on the power system and significant damage and destruction, a portion of the energy system’s generating capacity has been temporarily lost.
