The government registered nine new parks in the first quarter of 2024, equal to the number registered in all of 2022 and exceeding 2021’s figure for 2021, when seven parks were registered. In addition, the new parks are very diverse, with their specialization’s ranging from the production of building materials to food products. Approximately 11,000 jobs will be created through the nine new industrial parks.
According to Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaly Kindrativ, the creation of new industrial parks will contribute to economic growth, job creation, and strengthening of the country’s industrial potential. He added that investor interest in developing industrial parks is significant, and a new record could be set this year for the number of new park registrations.
At the same time, this year four parks were removed from the register, in locations where no activities were carried out within three years from registration. Moreover, half of the industrial parks in Ukraine are still struggling to attract businesses to their premises.
