Double Tap Investments has invested up to $300,000 in Ukrainian drone developer Black Forest Systems.

The coalition collapse in Germany could jeopardize the supply of drones to Ukraine, but Germany has already started providing the Mini-Taurus.

Double Tap Investments has invested up to $300,000 in Ukrainian drone developer Black Forest Systems.

The Finnish-Ukrainian investment company has chosen to support the Ukrainian drone startup Black Forest Systems. The specific investment amount remains undisclosed, with the typical DTI check ranging from $100,000 to $300,000. Alongside supporting DTI’s strategy to aid Ukraine’s victory, this partnership also plays a crucial role in executing the policies from the recently published Finnish Unmanned Systems Development Strategy 2030.

Black Forest Systems’ initial product is the Vyrok, a reconnaissance and strike drone designed for infantry support aimed at neutralizing enemy personnel during assaults or defenses. It is user-friendly, able to be operated by untrained infantrymen with minimal technical skills. Black Forest Systems comprises 15 specialists. Before securing this investment, the team self-funded the startup with $100,000.

Double Tap Investments commenced operations in November 2023. Based in Finland, the investment company focuses on transformational technology sectors, including defense, cybersecurity, and AI, while operating in Ukraine.
