In the first half of 2024, the tourism sector achieved a net income of ₴5.8B, almost 29% (in nominal terms) higher than the results for the same period in 2023. According to experts, such an increase may indicate an increase in tourist flows in the country, which is associated with the difficulty of going abroad for men and problems with logistics and transport connections.

Kyiv is the unchanged leader in the tourism field. Tourism companies’ turnover in the capital for the first half of 2024 amounted to ₴3.1B (almost 54% of the net income of all companies in the industry). Lviv region ranks second with an income of ₴1.1B (19.1%). The Ivano-Frankivsk region is in third place, companies there generated almost 15% of the sector’s total revenue – more than ₴852.2M. Companies in the Zakarpattia region generated ₴208.7M in net income (3.6%).
