“Until now, we were focused only on mobile communications in the field of telecom services. The company will now become a converged operator, which will also provide home Internet and TV services” said the CEO of Vodafone Ukraine, Olha Ustynova. “Vodafone plans to invest about UAH 500 mln ($18 mln) to bring our fixed-line business to the proper level and expand the infrastructure using GPON technology, which provides the most active users with stable high-speed gigabit Internet. Vodafone Ukraine plans to reach a subscriber base of 1 million customers in the fixed segment in the next two to three years”, concluded Ustynova.
