The Ukrainian startup, Deus Robots, which creates robots for the automation of physical labor, received $1.5M in investment from the SMRK venture capital fund, said one of the fund’s co-founders, Vlad Tislenko. Currently, the startup’s only client is the private Ukrainian delivery company, Nova Poshta. In August 2022, more than 40 robots started working at the Nova Poshta terminal in Bila Tserkva. The startup currently offers three models that can carry loads up to 30 kg, up to 300 kg and up to one ton. According to the founder of Deus Robots, Pavel Pikulin, the invested money will be used to enter the US market. Despite high market competition, Deus Robotics has some advantages: engineers have upgraded the robots to enable them to constantly maintain a charge of more than 40%. This optimizes battery life, even when there is a power outage in the warehouse. It is also planned to enter Poland and create new models in 2023.
