Ukraine's western regions have the most investment activity in the construction sector.

In 2024, the Western regions continued their leadership in the Ukrainian construction market in terms of investment flows, the amount of new housing construction, and price growth. For almost three years of war, the Transcarpathian region has broken records for its pace of bringing residential construction projects to the market. Last year, developers reached the pre-war level in terms of their work pace, showing a 180% increase after the collapse, and in 2024 another 24% in growth is expected.

A similar trend is observed in Ivano-Frankivsk. The construction volume in Uzhhorod has exceeded pre-war indicators by almost 200%. However, in terms of the number of residential complexes that have started during the war, Uzhhorod still trails Lviv.

Since the beginning of the war, builders have launched more than 500 new projects. The undisputed leader is the Lviv region (150 housing complexes), while 70 projects were launched in the Kyiv region. Kyiv’s construction pace in 2022 fell by 80% compared to 2021, and in 2023 the indicators improved only slightly.
