In 2024, mineral export revenue represented 8.1% of total export revenue. Reports from the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting indicate that revenue decreased by nearly 60% compared to 2021.

According to data from the NBU, analysts noted that the value of goods exported in 2024 reached $38.9B, which is 61.6% of 2021’s volume. The primary exports were food products and raw materials for their production, making up 63.4% of total export volumes. Last year, export of these goods grew by 12.1%, reaching 89.09% of the figure from 2021. Metallurgical products also represent a significant portion, accounting for 11.4% of total volume. 2024’s export results saw volume at just 28% of 2021’s figures due to power outages, a decline in global metal prices, and lower demand.

Last year, approximately 59% of export revenue originated from European countries, including 57% from EU countries. Exports to Asian countries made up 25.6% of total volume.
