President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained, mentioning that the state will soon be ready to license air defense systems.
“This amount is needed to deploy production, in particular the missile program, at full capacity. Currently, we are underfunded by approximately this amount each year,” he explained.
“We have made significant progress in the Ukrainian ballistic missile program. Additional funds are needed for its development, which are not covered by bilateral financing with partners. We are looking for opportunities to increase investment in this area,” the president said.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine aims to ensure financing and security for new production lines by establishing them abroad.
“After the war, partners will be able to gain access to these technologies. Such production will begin operating this year,” he added.
The Ukrainian president is also convinced that Ukraine is capable of surprising Russia if it has the funds.
“We will respond to all their missiles attacks if we receive funding. This will bring peace closer, because the Russians do not feel the war,” Zelenskyy concluded.
