Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Gavryliuk said that Ukraine exceeded planned drone production, which former Minister of Industry Oleksandr Kamyshyn spoke about at the end of last year. Then, Kamyshyn stated that in 2024 Ukraine planned to produce one million FPV drones, more than 10,000 medium-range attack drones, and more than 1,000 UAVs with a range of 1,000 kilometers. Each of these targets were exceeded thanks to the favorable development conditions created for Ukraine’s defense industry, particularly the creation of many private enterprises.

Gavryliuk added that the industry has taken an essential step in creating unmanned systems. This especially applies to unmanned aircraft, both short and long-range. Also, great progress was made this year toward developing ground-based robotic systems. More than 900 new types of weapons and military equipment were codified and put into military service this year.
