According to EY Ukraine, the largest hotels that are scheduled for commissioning in 2025 are located in the safer regions of western Ukraine. Specifically, the Ivano-Frankivsk region will see the most significant increase in hotel stock, with about 600 new rooms, followed by Odesa with 300 rooms. This year four hotels in the Bukovel area, two in Lviv, and one each in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Odesa are slated for completion.
A key trend in recent years has been the construction of income-generating real estate in the resort regions of the Carpathians. Industry experts anticipate that developers will continue to expand into the Carpathian region in the coming years. In 2024, construction began on the new GORO Mountain Resort ski resort near the villages of Volosyanka and Verkhnia Rozhanka in the Lviv region. Beyond ski and recreational infrastructure, the project promises to build 25 hotels with 5,150 rooms over the next 15 years.
Simultaneously, the primary market in Bukovel has also strengthened during the past three years of war. Since 2022, the number of investment projects in the resort has increased tenfold.
