The Ukrainian consumer sentiment index decreased by 2.8 points to 79.9 points in October. This is the lowest that the indicator has been since August 2022, when it was 75.3 points.
At the same time, the index of economic expectations decreased by 5.7 points to 96.3 points. The index of expected dynamics of unemployment increased by 1.4 points and is 123.8 points. The index of inflation expectations increased by 3.3 points and is 185.8 points. The index of devaluation expectations increased by 4.8 points and is 158.6 points.
“The population of Ukraine has more negative expectations than a year ago, but the current situation is better,” analysts noted.
According to the NBU, it is worth noting that during the third quarter, the number of transactions with credit cards in Ukraine and abroad was 1.97 trillion, and their amount was ₴1.4 trillion. Most often, Ukrainians use cards for payments in the retail network – 1.35 trillion transactions for ₴419.2B.
