A Turkish company, Atlas Global Energy, plans to build new wind energy facilities in the Zhytomyr region, reported the head of the Zhytomyr OVA, Vitaliy Bunechko.
“We are sure that the new wind power plant project will be another example of our fruitful cooperation and will open new perspectives for Ukraine’s energy independence,” he said.
According to the OVA head, alternative energy facilities (SPP, HPP, and biogas plants) are already operating in the Zhytomyr region, the total installed capacity of which exceeds 240 MW, and 60% of boiler power plants in the region operate on alternative fuel.
Bunechko also noted that even before the full-scale invasion, the region was recognized as the best region in Ukraine for doing business, and none of the region’s major investors have left during the war. On the contrary, international companies are investing additional funds to develop their own production in the region.
