According to the first half of 2024’s results, the index of completed construction works in Ukraine increased by 37.1% compared to the same period in 2023. According to the State Statistics Service, the volume of completed construction work during this period in monetary terms reached ₴82.44B ($2B).
Infrastructure construction was the driver of construction growth. The indicator in this sector increased by 46.1%. At the same time, residential construction increased by 16.8% and non-residential construction by 31.6%. In monetary terms, residential construction reached ₴11.79B, non-residential construction – ₴20.98B, and the construction of infrastructure – ₴49.66B. The share of new construction in the total volume of completed construction was 43.7%, repairs – 29.4%, and reconstruction and technical re-equipment – 26.9%.
The growth in infrastructure construction is associated with restoring transport and industrial facilities destroyed by Russian military aggression, such as bridges, overpasses, roads, railways, pipelines, communications, power lines, and other infrastructure and engineering structures.
