Ukraine constantly needs to invest in the fight against corruption – the government and citizens must monitor each other to achieve the necessary standards, said the US special representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery, Penny Pritzker.
“For example, the issue of customs. There should be more digitization in this area so there are fewer corruption opportunities. The Accounting Chamber also needs reliable leadership. The Bureau of Economic Security should be adequately staffed,” she said.
Pritzker emphasized that this is necessary for Ukraine to become attractive for investors.
According to her, it is also essential to fight against the “gray” market because the country loses budget revenue.
“This also confuses foreign businesses if we talk about partnership plans,” the US special representative noted.
