As specified by Ukrenergo, the money will be provided through loans and grants to restore the country’s energy supply. The chairman of the board, Volodymyr Kudrytsky, noted on the air of a telethon that the restoration of damaged power units and substations is one of the critical elements for the energy system’s stability, which will help Ukraine to get through the next heating season. In addition, fortifying these facilities after recovery is ongoing to reduce the likelihood of destruction during future attacks.

Kudrytskyi also noted that frugal consumption of electricity and the introduction of energy-efficient measures also help to reduce the power system’s load. “Another safety factor is the connection of the Ukrainian energy system with the European system to support balance within Ukraine,” said the head of Ukrenergo.
