The state’s debt to green energy producers has increased to ₴30B.

State-owned Ukrenergo’s debt to renewable energy producers under the green tariff has reached ₴29.9B ($820M), reported the Guaranteed Buyer. As of August 1, the company’s debt to the Guaranteed Buyer, an intermediary between electricity producers from renewable sources and buyers, for renewable energy services amounted to ₴25B.

As the state-owned enterprise notes, 52.6% of 2023’s payments under the green tariff have been made, monthly performance ranges from 90.9% in January to 45.1% in June. It was 56% in July and 47% in September. For comparison, in 2022 the settlement rate was 55.3%, in 2021 – 99%.

Since the beginning of the year, ₴21.7B has been paid for renewable electricity produced this year, and another ₴0.97B has been transferred to repay debt from the past year.
