The Brave1 defense technology cluster, created a year ago, has significantly accelerated the appearance of new technology at the front, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported.
The cluster’s work covers 12 priority verticals of technological development that have been determined by the General Staff. Among them are UAVs, robotic systems, navigation, artificial intelligence, and communication – all among the items that are most needed by the military on the front lines.
According to the head of Brave1, Nataliia Kushnerska, more than 1,600 innovations are registered on the Brave1 platform, 60 codified developments are ready for procurement or are already being procured by the state, and almost 1,000 involve Ukrainian manufacturers.
According to Kushnerska, manufacturers can also attract grant funding for their projects. Since the summer of last year, such grants have already been issued for 186 developments worth more than $3M.
The priorities for the second year of the cluster’s work are ground robotic complexes, electronic warfare, defense technologies equipped with artificial intelligence, and UAVs.
