The Nestlé company will open its fourth Ukrainian factory in Smoligov, Volyn. While the construction process continues, the company has already hired over 100 workers and has the same number of vacancies. When the new factory opens, the staff will increase to 300 people with further expansion. The new production facility will produce culinary products, particularly for export to the EU.
The investment in new production is $45M, and the opening is planned for the fourth quarter of this year. Due to the difficult energy situation in the country, the company has installed a 500 kW SPP and plans to add another 700 kW soon, which will provide 18% of the factory’s needs.
Nestlé is one of the world’s largest food and beverage production companies, and it is represented in 186 countries, including Russia. Despite the Russian aggression in Ukraine, Nestle still successfully operates seven Russian companies and refuses to leave the Russian market.
