The Deposit Guarantee Fund liquidated Zlatobank and will sell its assets at auction on November 15 in the Prozorro.Sales system. The initial price for the bank’s assets is almost ₴10.6B ($290M). The lot also includes assets that the National Bank of Ukraine partially pledges. The bank’s holdings included in the lot have been put up for auction several times but have not found buyers. Bidding will be held according to the “Dutch” auction model.
The Deposit Guarantee Fund noted that credit claims are put up for sale, not mortgaged property. Therefore, the auction winner will have the right to demand the return of funds from the debtor by foreclosing on the mortgaged property, including through court proceedings.
Loans are secured by real estate in Kyiv and elsewhere in the region, as well as transport, equipment, goods in circulation, and property rights to a share in the authorized capital of one of the borrowers.
