How does a business assess its state and prospects?

The business community has softened its negative expectations; the construction sector feels the most confident.

The number of EBA member companies operating at full capacity has decreased from 78% to 64% compared to the beginning of the year. In particular, 45% of the surveyed top managers assess their business as satisfactory and 27% as positive. The other 27% consider the current business situation rather negatively.

Currently, 36% of surveyed companies operate with restrictions; among the most widespread are the lack of qualified employees (75%) and restrictions on the geography of their activity (60%). Also, 56% of respondents predict their business will worsen in six months, 27% do not expect any change, and 16% believe the situation will improve. Despite this, 47% plan to expand their business, including the client base and production growth, entering international markets, etc.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 48% of companies have seen a revenue decrease, while 47% have seen an increase. About 6% of respondents said their business volume did not change. Among the respondents, 48% export goods or services abroad. Among surveyed organizations, 53% have reserves for a year or more, 32% – for half a year, 15% – for several months, and 1% have no reserves.
