Green Flag Ventures invests in a Ukrainian manufacturer of tactical military communication systems.

The American investment fund Green Flag Ventures has invested in Himera, a manufacturer of military radios that are being actively used in combat conditions, providing communication in the most complex electronic warfare scenarios. Not only does Himera offers tactical advantages over established players in the $21.6B global defense communications market, but it is also priced significantly lower than similar systems.

Green Flag Ventures has invested from $100,000 to about $1.2M in Ukrainian startups. However, in the third year of the war, it has become more difficult to attract financing for defense startups in Ukraine. Defense tech representatives note that the large number of startups often work in the same direction, for example, FPV, and this prevents investors from noticing the advantages of specific projects.

However, in Ukrainian military technologies (militech), Western investors are still attracted by the fact that development costs for Ukrainian startups are lower than in the EU or the US, as well as the advantage of testing new technologies on the battlefield.
