According to the German Ministry of Economy, since the beginning of the year the government has approved the supply of at least €7.48B in military goods abroad. Weapons account for €5.52B, with €1.96B in other military equipment. The total figure is 30% higher than the value of weapons exported in the first half of last year. However, only 65% (€4.88B) of this is earmarked for Ukraine. The top three importers of German weapons also include Singapore (€1.21B) and India (€153.75M).

Meanwhile, General Director of Ukraine’s state defense company Ukroboronprom, Herman Smetanin, stated that the first restoration of German combat vehicles is being carried out in Ukraine within the agreement with the German arms concern Rheinmetall. In the short term, Ukraine aims to repair artillery systems and produce the latest German Lynx IFVs through a joint venture with Rheinmetall.
