Due to war, it is difficult for the state to fully pay for the electricity produced by renewable energy sources.

The payments from the state-owned enterprise Guaranteed Buyer for electricity produced in Ukraine from renewable energy sources (RES) has continued to decrease, and in March decreased to 49.9%.

As the Guaranteed Buyer reported, the percentage of green electricity payments in February was 57.9%, and in January 91%. In general, for the first three months of the current year, payments amount to 63.4%.

At the same time, Ukrenergo’s debt to the Guaranteed Buyer for increasing the share of electricity from renewable sources amounts to UAH 15.3B. The level of underpayment to Ukraine’s green energy companies for 2022 is 50%. The energy community seeks to quickly identify a solution to the problem of paying the UAH 17.8B in electricity debt from RES.
