Kyiv and London have reached a historic agreement that involves transferring war-tested Ukrainian technologies to British defense firms. The British government highlighted that Ukraine is a global leader in developing and applying drone technologies, which are updated approximately every six weeks. From this point forward, British defense companies will have access to these advanced developments and can quickly produce large quantities of drones for Ukraine. This will support Ukrainian defense efforts and benefit the British economy.
The agreement is set for three years and is part of a 100-year partnership between Ukraine and Britain. The first contracts are expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
Under this new initiative, Britain will fund the purchase of various Ukrainian drones to be produced on British soil. While the war continues, all production will be dedicated to the needs of Ukraine’s armed forces, and once the conflict ends, Britain and Ukraine will distribute the manufactured UAVs between themselves.
