The UK Department for Business and Trade announced that duty-free trade will be extended for all goods for five years, except for eggs and poultry, for which the regime will be extended only for two years.
According to the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyridenko, the implementation of this agreement has allowed the trade in goods between the countries to exceed $1.4B, 20% more than in 2022.
“We concluded a new agreement, which will extend the full liberalization of trade for another five years and significantly activate our trade partnership. This will strengthen Ukraine’s export potential and contribute to the development of business and the national economy,” the minister said.
The agreement will be valid for all goods until March 31, 2029, and for eggs and poultry products until April 1, 2026, although this may be extended.
