The Zaha Hadid Architects design firm has developed an architectural project for Expo 2030 pavilions, which Ukraine wants to hold in Odesa, the bureau reported. Ukraine applied to the International Bureau of Exhibitions to hold the event before the start of the full-scale war, in October 2021. Despite the hostilities, the government decided not to abandon its application. The event is scheduled for April-October 2030. The exhibition will unfold on 80,000 square meters in the irrigation fields near the Khadzhibey estuary. It is also planned to place an eco-park and logistics facilities for staff on the territory. All the buildings will be dismantled after Expo 2030, but they will be able to be reused – as medical institutions, kindergartens, and creative spaces. The results from the vote for the host city of Expo 2030 will be known in November 2023.
