An international industrial group has invested more than €11M in launching a plant to produce building materials in Prykarpattia.

The Saint-Gobain international group’s first plant in Ukraine opened in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The enterprise will provide employment for about 50 people and produce gypsum mixtures under the Rigips brand. The Saint-Gobain company, which previously was an importer, has positioned itself as a national manufacturer with a complete production cycle – from raw material extraction to the creation of finished building materials. The plant was built in a year. Saint-Gobain’s total investment in the plant’s construction exceeds €11M. The enterprise’s annual capacity will be 60,000 tons of products, which will satisfy domestic building materials demand and strengthen local production capacities. The group sees great potential in the local market and seeks to support its development.
