A Ukrainian developer of EW-resistant military communication systems receives funds for scaling, and defense startups attract $25M in foreign investment.

A Ukrainian developer of communication systems, Himera, received an investment from the Nezlamni fund. Although the amount is undisclosed, it is within the standard range of the fund’s $100,000 to $400,000 check. The funds will be used to scale production of the company’s HIMERA G1 Pro systems, develop the product line, and enter new markets. The valuation of the startup has not been disclosed.

The HIMERA G1 Pro system is an improved version of its battle-proven predecessor, and establishes a new level of performance and design for EW-resistant radio communication. Its features include the ability to transmit voice and data and extended communication range.

As well, Ukrainian defense technology developers managed to attract $25M in foreign investment this year through the Brave1 defense cluster against $5M last year. One example is Swarmer, which is engaged in providing AI solutions for drone swarms and attracted $2.7M in foreign investment. The Brave1 defense cluster plans to raise $50M by the end of the year.
