By the end of 2023, the Velta group of companies plans to launch the production and sale of their first products, titanium medical implants, in Ukraine.

In 2017, the company founded its research center, Velta RD Titan. It developed and patented its innovative technology in Ukraine and the US for obtaining metallic titanium, which has a low carbon footprint and zero emissions. The necessary equipment was purchased to expand production to a semi-industrial level – 1,000 kg of titanium powder per year. The next step was to build a production and sales chain for the final product in Ukraine.

A new branch, Velta Additive Technology, will process titanium powder into end use products. A newly created joint venture, Velta Medical, will soon start manufacturing individual medical implants for the domestic market.

“Thus, Velta becomes fully vertically integrated, extracting titanium raw materials, processing these into semi-finished products using its technology, and manufacturing final products,” the company summarized.
