A Ukrainian business management startup receives an investment from Google.

The startup Workee, which is developing an online business management system for freelancers, has raised $900,000 in funding. According to Forbes, the post-money valuation reaches $9-12M.

In a new round, SMOK Ventures, California-based fund Slava Ventures, and several angels from Silicon Valley all participated with investment. The startup received $800,000 in investment, as the $900,000 includes a grant from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund – a $5M special fund for Ukrainian companies. The exact amount from Google has not been disclosed, buttypically the maximum grant amount is $100,000.

In total, $1.6 million has been invested in the startup. As of November 2022, the company had over 100,000 customers and $100M in sales.
