One of the basic components of Mykolaiv’s post-war reconstruction is the creation of a marine industrial park. This project was presented through the Measures for Economic Growth program, financed by the EU and Denmark.

The industrial park will provide the opportunity to create 4,000 jobs in Mykolaiv and increase local tax revenue. In particular, the city will receive ₴12 million per year in lease payments for the 180 hectares allocated for the project. Total tax revenue will increase by ₴340M ($8.5M), of which the city’s budget will receive more than ₴180M ($4.5M).

Another project that will help restore Mykolaiv is the reorganization of the Mykolaiv Shipbuilding Plant, with the preservation of shipbuilding as the direction for the company’s activity. The project envisages the development of small-scale shipbuilding, as well as attracting investment and innovative technologies.
