The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Vodafone Group have agreed to lay an underwater cable across the Black Sea to improve internet communication. As noted by the ministry, cooperation with the international Vodafone Group will make the use of foreign online services faster and safer. In addition to constructing an undersea cable spanning the Black Sea, it is also planned to open new data centers and strengthen the existing network. It is noted that most of the 5.4 billion Internet users are concentrated in Asia and the Middle East, and therefore new technologies require the exchange of a massive amount of data. Therefore, laying the cable through Ukraine will allow the country to become the digital hub of Europe.
