Rivneazot has completed the construction of its electricity generation facility, and 100% loading of production capacities has been achieved. The enterprise can now produce up to 30 MW/h of electricity. In addition, by importing electricity Rivneazot was able to launch a second unit to produce ammonia and increased its production volume of mineral fertilizers.
The company assures that it is ready for autumn’s growth in demand for mineral fertilizers and plans to produce more than 50,000 tons of ammonium nitrate every month. With sufficient electricity supply, Rivneazot can produce 1,260 tons of ammonia, 1,300 tons of unconcentrated nitric acid, and 1,630 tons of ammonium nitrate daily.
These volumes have become possible thanks to new turbine generators that generate electricity from steam generated during chemical processes.
Rivneazot and Cherkasy Azot plan to produce 260,000 tons of nitrogen fertilizers by September 1 and one million tons by the end of autumn.
