German UAV manufacturer Quantum-Systems will open a second drone production facility in Ukraine with a capacity of up to 1,000 UAVs per year, including the production of spare parts. The manufacturer will invest up to €6M in drone production over two years.
Also, Lithuania handed over another batch of military aid to the Ukraine’s military, including a disassembled L-39 Albatros light attack aircraft that was used for training.
The Netherlands has allocated more than €200M to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and transfer artillery shells.
“The means currently provided by the Netherlands are already on the European continent, they will be delivered to Ukraine as soon as possible. Now we must all do everything possible to support Ukraine,” the country’s Ministry of Defense said.
At the same time, due to bureaucratic delays, Britain has spent less than half of the £900M ($1.13B) sent by various countries to the Ukraine support fund.
