According to Roman Shimonov, CEO of the Canadian Roshel company, the decision to open a company in Ukraine has already been made. The company expects to invest “tens of millions of dollars” and create hundreds of new jobs. The plant will focus on both the Ukrainian and European markets.
“Ukraine has a powerful infrastructure, but not all is used efficiently. You have cheap electricity, labor, production chains now being built, and many people with higher education. When recruiting Ukrainians, we see a big difference compared to people from other regions, where there is no production culture,” said Shimonov.
The company’s main product is the Senator armored car, 1,140 of which have already been delivered to the Ukraine Armed Forces. Ukraine receives these machines from its partners and pays for them with its own funds.
