Zelenskyy signs a €1B military aid deal in Spain, a €1.1M arms package, and a security agreement.

During a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, an agreement was concluded that will supply military equipment, ranging from Patriot missiles to Leopard battle tanks, as well as a wide range of Spanish-made military goods such as artillery shells and anti-drone systems. The deal also includes multimillion-dollar contracts with Spain’s defense industry.

As the president specified, Spain will give Ukraine €1B in military aid this year and plans to allocate €5B in aid over three years. In addition, Spain will soon provide Ukraine with an additional arms package worth €1.1M, an unprecedented figure for Spanish military aid to any country.
