According to President Zelenskyy, the Russian Federation’s economy will not survive if influential countries stop supporting its energy sector, in particular, by ceasing to buy Russian energy resources or significantly reducing their prices.
“After that, within a year, Russia will be unable to fight at the current level,” Zelenskyy states.
He added that China, India, the US, and Saudi Arabia can achive this quickly – completely stopping Russia’s energy exports and utterly destroying its economy. According to the president, Russia without an economy is nothing because then it will only have nuclear weapons.
“And the countries listed above will not allow Putin to use it,” Zelenskyy is convinced.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader believes that the existing Russian sanctions are enough to weaken the aggressor if they are enforced. That is why unity between the US, the EU, and Middle Eastern countries, which can come to an agreement reducing the Kremlin’s income substantially, is essential.
