Since the beginning of 2023, Ukrainians have purchased 191,000 used passenger cars imported from abroad. The average age of these vehicles is 10.3 years. This segment is dominated by gasoline-powered cars, which account for 45% of the market. This is followed by diesel passenger cars with 33%, electric cars – 14%, cars with compressed gas equipment 5%, and hybrids – 3%.
The Volkswagen Golf became the leader among gasoline cars, diesel and gas-equipped cars – the Renault Megane, electric cars – Nissan Leaf, hybrids – Ford Fusion.
Also, in November Ukrainians bought over 21,700 used cars imported from abroad. Vehicles with gasoline engines have also become the most popular in the Ukrainian new passenger car market. In 11 months, 25,800 vehicles with traditional gasoline engines were sold, which is 30% more than in the same period last year.
The greatest demand among such cars was for the Renault Duster, Mazda CX5, Suzuki Vitara, Hyundai Tucson, and Škoda Octavia.
